Playing videos/movies (Internal memory models only)Updated a year ago

For best results, the recommended filetype for playing videos on the frame is the .avi video filetype with the XVID video codec and the MP3 audio codec. The recommended dimensions are 720x576(4:3) or 640x360(16:9). The recommended framerate is 24fps or less.

For converting videos to .avi, you will need to use a converter software.

Click the link above, then click the Freeware button. You can download the software on that page.

Once downloaded, drag your video file into the software

For MAC
  1. Click the dropdown menu for Profile to change it to 'Customized AVI Video'
  2. On the left side, click on the AVI movie icon next to the video. This will load the video settings.
  3. Under Video setting change the Codec to 'xvid', FrameRate to 23.976.
  4. Change the size to 640x480(for 4:3) or 720x480(for 16:9).
  5. Under Audio Setting change the Codec to 'mp3'.
  6. Click OK
  7. Click Convert Now to finish.
For Windows
  1. Click the dropdown menu next to "Convert Now" and select the icon that looks like a film strip.
  2. Select 'Customized AVI Movie' from the list near the bottom.
  3. Under 'Basic Settings' Change 'Video Size' to 640x480(for 4:3) or 720x480(for 16:9).
  4. Under Video Settings change the 'Video Codec' to 'xvid' and 'Frame Rate' to 23.976.
  5. Under Audio Settings change the 'Audio Codec' to 'mp3'.
  6. Click "Convert Now" to finish.
